Hello New Friends, I Wanted to take a minute to welcome you all to Jenz Skinny Friendz and let you know our purpose and goal. 1. First and foremost to help you become healthy! Your first step to doing that is to cut out all soda and artificial sweetened products. Start to eat healthy. No more fast food! I know these things may be difficult to do but it is the main reason most of us got this way in the first place. Replace all sodas with Water. Whether it is just plain water or some of the recipes I have posted ... 2. To help motivate you lose weight, this is my 2nd goal. I have started with a Starter Exercise program, it is important to start to exercise and move.. I know this may be hard for some because of some health issues, but this is what we are here for to help you come up with other ways/methods to help you lose weight. ♥ 3. Maintain your health and weight. So we are here for the long haul to keep you motivated and on the right track. Always come back to us for motivation and support and know there is NO judging here if you fall off the wagon. :) 4. To let you know about Skinny Fiber (All-Natural). It is not necessary to try this product in order to stay in the group, but after being in this company for the last few months and watching thousands of people's lives being changed including my own and several of my family members. I want to share this with everyone. Remember: It isn't necessary to use this at all to stay here in this group. So In short the first steps to getting healthy and losing weight: Detox all the toxins out of your body.. Replace any soda or sweetened beverages with water.. Start to exercise.. We're starting with a Starters program and if you are new to the group, go to the Albums and start with Day 1 (commenting that you have done them as you go) Ask questions or ask for help if you need motivation.
Wow!! Look at Zandie's 90 Day challenge results!!! www.tryskinnyfiber.ca
Here is Torri's Story in her own words:

"I remember last summer I was ashamed and miserable. Everything in my life was suffering from my health to my marriage. I was heavy, depressed and just did not like to even look at myself. I knew I ...
needed to lose weight but had tried everything! Nothing worked! My friend Leah asked me to try skinny Fiber and I was skeptical because I cannot handle the jitters and side effects other diet aids give me. She assured me that SF was not like that. so since it had a money back guarantee I tried it! I was amazed!!!!! In the first month I could tell a difference. Not jaw dropping but it was enough to make me realize it worked. Then I noticed more energy, better sleep, and just over all mood change. No more depression, fatigue or mood swings. I just kept dropping the inches. I was a size 16 now I am an 11! I am as happy as can be. I know I will never be that size 2 girl again but I have had three children, am 43 years old and I am happy with the results I am getting! No more anxiety meds either. Only SF! I started SF January 4th 2013 and now look at me!!"

HEART ATTACKS & HOT WATER!!!! PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE SHARE!!! READ IT and SHARE!! #REALTALK!

A very good article which takes two minutes to read. Heart Attacks And Drinking Warm Water

This is a very good article. Not only about the warm ...water after your meal, but about Heart Attacks. The Chinese and Japanese drink hot tea with their meals, not cold water, maybe it is time we adopt their drinking habit while eating.

For those who like to drink cold water, this article is applicable to you. It is nice to have a cup of cold drink after a meal. However, the cold water will solidify the oily stuff that you have just consumed. It will slow down the digestion. Once this 'sludge' reacts with the acid, it will break down and be absorbed by the intestine faster than the solid food. It will line the intestine. Very soon, this will turn into fats and lead to cancer. It is best to drink hot soup or warm water after a meal.

Common Symptoms Of Heart Attack...

A serious note about heart attacks - You! should know that not every heart attack symptom is going to be the left arm hurting . Be aware of intense pain in the jaw line.
You may never have the first chest pain during the course of a heart attack. Nausea and intense sweating are also common symptoms. 60% of people who have a heart attack while they are asleep do not wake up. Pain in the jaw can wake you from a sound sleep. Let's be careful and be aware. The more we know, the better chance we could survive..

A cardiologist says if everyone who reads this post shares it to 10 people, you can be sure that we'll save at least one life. Read this & Send to a friend. It could save a life... So, please be a true friend and share this article to all your friends you care about..

How to make homemade hand scrub

How to Make Homemade Hand Scrub

Ingredients:
1 tbsp coconut oil
2 tbsp raw honey
1/4 cup sea salt
... 1/4 cup organic sugar
1 tbsp lemon juice

Instructions:
1. Stir together the honey and coconut oil in a medium bowl.
2. In another small bowl, blend the salt, sugar and lemon juice until it becomes crumbly.
3. Pour the salt mixture over the honey mixture and stir until smooth.
4. Store in a small glass jar or bowl.

Directions for Use:
1. Gently massage a marble-sized amount of homemade hand scrub into your hands for 30-60 seconds. (Don’t forget to exfoliate between your fingers!)
2. Rinse with warm water and pat dry. The coconut oil provides enough moisture so you probably won’t need to follow up with anything else. If your hands are extra dry, you might want to apply some homemade whipped coconut oil.
3. Repeat 1-2 times per week.

CHOCOLATE PEANUT BUTTER CHEESECAKE CUPS

6 Magical Peanut Butter Cookies
8 ounces cream cheese, softened
1/4 cup natural peanut butter
1 egg
...
1/4 cup granular Splenda or equivalent liquid Splenda
1/2 teaspoon vanilla
6 paper cupcake liners

Glaze:
4 ounces MiniCarb chocolate chips, generous 1/2 cup
2 tablespoons butter
2 tablespoons heavy cream
1/4 teaspoon vanilla

Place the cupcake liners in a muffin tin. Place 1 cookie in the bottom of each cup and press firmly to form a crust. The cookies will crumble very easily with your fingers. In a small bowl, beat the next 5 ingredients with an electric mixer just until well combined. Divide batter between the muffin cups. Bake at 350º 20 minutes. They will puff up quite high, but will settle as they cool. Cool on a rack until you can remove them from the muffin tin. Place them on a baking sheet and freeze 1 hour before spreading with the glaze.

For the glaze, place the chocolate chips and butter in a small glass bowl and microwave on 50% power 1-2 minutes or until melted, stirring after the first minute. Stir until well blended and smooth, then stir in the cream and vanilla until smooth. Carefully remove each cheesecake from its paper liner and place on a wax paper-lined baking sheet. Spoon the glaze over the tops and spread down the sides to coat completely. You'll need to work kind of fast before the glaze starts to set up. Chill several hours before serving or freeze 30-60 minutes for faster chilling.

These are very decadent and rich and would make a nice dessert for Valentine's Day or any special occasion. For the cheesecake filling, I was following a recipe that I'd found online but doubled the sweetener. I still think they could use more sweetener. I might go with 1/2 cup next time, but you can taste the batter to see if it's to your liking. Splenda sweetened desserts lose a bit of their sweetness with baking and chilling so use enough Splenda so that it's slightly sweeter than you think you'd like or combine the Splenda with another heat stable sweetener, such as Stevia. Although these look kind of fancy, they were really very easy to make

Brilliant Idea!!

Brilliant Idea!! After Cleaning the sink - Rub your chrome faucets with a piece of waxed paper- it will keep the water spots and fingerprints from sticking to the clean metal ;)

Side tip: You can also use a piece of waxed paper on your s...wifter sweeper. Just rip off a piece the size of the sweeper, attach, and wipe away. The dirt sticks to the paper really well - refilling wax paper is cheaper than those other refill kits ;)

HOMEMADE HONEY ROASTED PEANUT BUTTER

*~*~* HOMEMADE HONEY ROASTED PEANUT BUTTER *~*~*
(gluten-free, use roasted peanuts to keep vegan)

... Makes about 1 1/2 cups creamy peanut butter

16 ounces honey roasted peanuts

Add peanuts to the canister of a food processor, process on high power until creamy and smooth, about 5 minutes, stopping to scrape down the sides of the canister if necessary.

Notes

The peanuts will go through stages of: crushed, crushed into a fine powder, a paste, a thicker paste, a big “dough ball”, and then the ball will break down into runnier peanut butter. At the point the peanut butter is runny, continue processing for about 1 more minute, making sure the peanut butter is as smooth as desired.

If it wasn’t for taking pictures, in my food processor, it takes about 4 minutes and I did not need to scrape down the sides; there was very little splatter.

I store my peanut butter in an airtight container or jar in the refrigerator, where it keeps for many weeks. I prefer thicker peanut butter and the refrigerator helps it to stay thicker. You can store the peanut butter at room temperature where it will keep for at least a week. As with any food that has no preservatives, use common sense in terms of storage duration but in my experience, it will last for at least a month in the refrigerator, if not devoured much sooner.

Substitutions and Flavoring Suggestions

Substitute dry roasted, salted, or unsalted peanuts, mixed nuts, seasoned, or spicy nuts; I do not suggest raw nuts because they don’t have enough flavor depth for me but theoretically they will “work”, just a matter of taste preference.

Salt, to taste (I added none)

Peanut oil, canola oil, and I have also seen olive oil suggested, optional and only if necessary (I added none and although the paste is thick in the early to mid stages of blending causing one to ponder if oil is necessary, once you get past that stage, you’ll be glad to have not added oil because the finished peanut butter is already on the thinner side and the robust peanut flavor is not diluted by oil)

Seasonings or flavorings to try and add in the final moments of processing and process until incorporated: cinnamon, pumpkin pie spice, nutmeg, cardamom, brown sugar, vanilla extract, coffee extract, specialty oils and extracts from LorAnn, a pinch of cayenne or chili powder or savory spices, cocoa powder, chocolate/white chocolate/butterscotch/peanut butter chips and just pulse to incorporate; a handful of peanuts just pulsed to incorporate at the very end of processing to create a chunky-textured peanut butter. Add egg-less cookie dough chunks, dried fruits like raisins or dates; a splash of Baileys Irish Cream, Kahlua, Frangelico, Chambord, Godiva Liqueur; have fun with it.

If you’re unsure how a flavoring will turn out, I suggest removing half the peanut butter or two-thirds of it, placing it in another container, and flavor a smaller portion, to taste, before flavoring the entire batch with one particular seasoning or flavor. Or get two or three flavors from one recipe based on how inspired you are.

DIY vintage mason jar

DIY vintage mason jar
This looks amazing and it's super easy to make, just follow 3 simple steps!!

supplies needed:
•Quart sized mason jar with lid (I used a mixture of new and old jars from the 70's)
... •Black and white 4x6 picture trimmed to fit. (I printed mine at my local Walgreens)
•Vegetable oil
•Dried flowers (optional)

1.) Insert your picture into the mason jar and pour enough vegetable oil to cover completely.
2.) Put some dried flowers on the opposite side of the picture. I chose lavender, essential oil anyone? Yum, it smelled good!
3.) Tighten the lid up and it's done! The vegetable oil will suspend the picture inside the jar without penetrating it, causing it to look aged and slightly transparent. A total vintage look of old yellowed pictures from the past.

3. Maintain your health and weight. So we are here for the long haul to keep you motivated and on the right track. Always come back to us for motivation and support and know there is NO judging here if you fall off the wagon. :)

So In short the first steps to getting healthy and losing weight:

Detox all the toxins out of your body..
Replace any soda or sweetened beverages with water..
Start to exercise.. We're starting with a Starters program and if you are new to the group, go to the Albums and start with Day 1 (commenting that you have done them as you go)

Ask questions or ask for help if you need motivation.

Here is a neat idea

Here is a neat idea. Decide how many pounds you want to lose and place a small object in the jar for each pound. Then when you start losing the weight move the objects from one jar to another. Your mind will see this happening and it will help you focus on your goal.
